Just a quick note to tell you how much love and enjoy our new kitty Snickers! He has fit into the family perfectly! He loves to be on our laps and play with his toys. He is a happy eater and puts up with our border collie herding him around. When he gets tired of it, he just casually walks by and gives her a little swat. It is really cute.

Goldie is one of the kitties rescued from Island Recycling. The adoptors are a young couple, who love her a lot and laugh because she is surprisingly the alpha cat! Goldie was so scared and timid when she first appeared at Island Recycling and then she was obviously pregnant. Now, she's spayed and a totally inside kitty, with a ‘man’ to boss around! They have renamed her Starfire, a comic book heroine because of her firey attitude and bright eyes.

Snowball is doing FANTASTIC!  She has been finding her way around, looking for her special places to sleep and she is now officially a couch kitty!  We set up a special spot on the couch just for her.  She likes to look out the window with the window open just a little bit.  She is such a love, she is being brushed, hugged, carried, she's talking, staring at us eye to eye, all of the things we hoped she would do and faster than we expected.

Sugar was matted, dirty and obese when she came into the shelter. The owner explained that Sugar had previously been attacked by a dog, leaving her without a back leg.  Sugar was quickly moved to a holding area for transfer to Oasis. Sugar started to blossom while at Oasis, showing her maternal side by cuddling with incoming kittens, allowing them to sleep on her back and snuggle with her!  Happily, Sugar was adopted by a wonderful family.
