Oasis for Animals is hosting a "Spay Day" event for pet cats. The event is Monday, June 29. The cost is only $15 for a male or female cat.

The surgery will be performed at the Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Project in Lynnwood. Oasis will provide transportation for the cats to and from the clinic.

Oasis for Animals recently received a grant to provide this very important service to the community at such low cost. The goal is to prevent unwanted kittens, and to prevent situations where cats may lose their homes because of unwanted behaviors that are usually reduced by spaying or neutering.

Each year, Oasis for Animals has placed about 400 cats into loving adoptive homes. Prior to placement, the cats reside in foster homes. Oasis is an all-volunteer, no-kill, non-profit rescue organization.
